Blocked sites
If an app tries to reach a site you've blocked, SafeScreen intercepts the request.
You set the rules in your account. SafeScreen's cloud sends them to each of your child's devices, and an agent on the PC applies them to every browser and app.
In your SafeScreen account, each child gets their own policy. You can force safe search on, block particular sites and words, and customise the block page they see.
Every device keeps a persistent, encrypted connection to SafeScreen. When you change a policy, the server pushes it to every online device for that child within about five seconds. You don't have to go near the PC.
SafeScreen runs in the background on the Windows PC and applies your rules to every app your child opens. If the PC goes offline, the last rules it received stay in force, and it picks up any changes as soon as it reconnects.
SafeScreen sits between your child's apps and the internet. It checks which site is being opened, which page on that site, and what the page says.
If an app tries to reach a site you've blocked, SafeScreen intercepts the request.
Even on a site that's allowed, individual pages you've ruled out won't open.
SafeScreen also looks through the text of a page for words you've banned.
SafeScreen installs as a Windows service, which means it's already running before anyone logs in.
